My Favorite Beauty & Self-Care Products for Female Runners

by Annie Meyers (@limitless.strides)

I hear all the time about new fitness equipment, recovery tools, and running gear that I should try. But, I rarely hear about beauty products and self-care tools specifically for women runners! These products have been essential to my training because they keep me feeling clean, safe, and comfortable even after my longest runs… and in turn, it keeps me from making any workout excuses in the name of beauty and selfcare!

Supergoop Scalp Sunscreen

It is imperative that we’re keeping our scalps sunburn free, no matter where we are and what time of the year it is! Continuous sun exposure, especially at the hairline and scalp can lead to long-term skin abnormalities, so this scalp sunscreen from Supergoop is a running essential!

Batise Dry Shampoo

I’ve tried about every dry shampoo on the market and this will forever and always be my go-to! I try to not wash my hair every day to allow for production of its natural oils, but hair can get greasy pretty quickly if you’re running every day. I spray this on my hair on my “no-poo” days and after running the blow dryer through it for just a couple minutes, my hair looks as clean as ever!

Highline Wellness CBD Fitness Cream

I’ve tried tons of patches and balms for my injuries and muscle pain, but nothing works quite like this Highline Wellness CBD fitness cream. I put this on my tight hips, sore neck, and cramped calves for instant cooling and relief. It’s like you’re giving yourself a message with this stuff!

Neutrogena Zinc Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 50

Runners get a ton of sun exposure, especially distance runners. It is imperative that you have a sunscreen that doesn’t skimp on SPF. The zinc provides an extra layer of protection and has a dry finish, preventing sunburn and any mid-run eye stinging that your typical sunscreen might cause.

Body Glide Moisturizing Balm

Chaffing. Gross, I know. But what’s even more frustrating? Those horrible skin burns the next day. I use this balm between my legs and on my sports bra lines to prevent unnecessary chaffing and rubbing, especially for longer runs.

Kitsch Hair Coils

My biggest dilemma when I first started running was needing my hair to stay in place, but not wanting to cause breakage from heavy-duty, thick hair ties. These are the perfect solution! These Kitsch Hair Coils keep my hair in place when I run, but don’t cause any creasing or breakage.

Laneige Lip Mask

This Laneige lip mask has been game changing for my winter runs. I suffer from horribly chapped lips and running outside in December does not help! This Laneige lip mask transforms my lips in as little as 5 minutes. I put it on every night before bed and wake up in the morning with the most moisturized, nourished lips!
