One of the first things I was told by my dermatologist when I went to her for my cystic acne a few years ago was to start using a silk pillowcase. Little did I know that silk is a better alternative for any product, not just pillowcases. Cotton can hold bacteria more than silk and the rough texture can inflame your skin and frizz your hair. That’s why when I discovered the company Slip I was instantly in love. They make a silk version of every product imaginable that comes in contact with your skin and hair. Here are my faves below:

If you invest in anything it should be their pillowcases. They keep your skin acne and wrinkle free and your hair smooth and without any frizz or breakage from friction while sleeping.

This is definitely must-have #2 on the list. If you’re as sensitive to the morning light as I am, this is the perfect eye mask to keep your eyebrows looking sleek and your eyes from getting irritated by harsh fabrics.

Same goes for the face masks. Except instead of your eyes staying friction-free, it’s your mouth and cheeks. That’s why these masks are especially good for people with sensitive or acne- prone skin as this is often the area they breakout.

The scrunchie isn’t necessarily a ride or die item, but they’re so fun and cute I had to throw them onto the list. They’re so great at stopping harsh breakage in your hair that other hairbands cause and, of course, keep you looking chic at the same time.
