The Affordable Skincare Company We Love: Cocokind

written by ANJALI REDDY. November 8th, 2020

As someone who heavily prioritizes self-care, skincare was never something I really thought about. Morning and nights consisted of a quick rinse and wash with whatever product was on my counter at that second. Toner? Moisturizer? Forget about it! That was until I found Cocokind. Their products are made up of all natural, superfood ingredients that are sustainable, cruelty-free, and above all: AFFORDABLE! And you can find most of these products in Whole Foods and Target!

TRIED AND TRUE FAVORITES:

Chia Facial Oil $16

If you take anything away from this post, let it be this oil. GAME. CHANGER. I’ve gotten all of my friends and family into this, and it works for all skin types. It hydrates without overly hydrating and adds a little glow.

Oil to Milk Cleanser $18

The ONLY FACE WASH I use, and I will stand by that forever. It has enough moisture to prevent drying my face out, but not too much where it facilitates breakouts. It’s gentle enough to be used morning and night and results in bright, soft skin.

Rosewater Toner $17

With only one (1!!!!!!!) ingredient, this toner is multifunctional– I use it to tone post washing, set my makeup, and remove residual makeup. Plus, it smells wonderful! It’s perfect for a midday spritz between zoom classes or meetings.

Sea Kale Clay Mask $18

An online-exclusive well worth the shipping price, this mask single handedly saved me. It does not dry tight at all, unlike other clay masks and leaves your face buttery-soft. This mask, some cucumber slices, and a good playlist–ideal Sunday night self-care.

Skin Butter $14

The only time by body was this soft was when I was a newborn. It’s not greasy, grainy, or oily and it smells good–what more could you want?!

Brow Balm $14

I have nothing to say except get it. So creamy and natural with no flaking or clumping.

ONES YOU CAN DO WITHOUT:

Resurfacing Sleep Mask $22

Not my personal favorite (I don’t see much of a difference), but many customers love love love it, so feel free to try it for yourself.

Chlorophyll Mask

I didn’t see much of a difference with this. It is a powder you have to mix with water to form a paste–a bit of effort for not much result.

Facial Cleansing Oil $14

I don’t love this cleanser–I prefer the oil to milk cleanser, BUT it is good to remove eye makeup.

BONUS:

Beauty Beverage Set $20

A sample of their 3 new beauty glow sticks, including a morning mocha latte, detox chlorophyll tonic (perfect for that midday slump), and a sleep C tonic. PLUS, you get the cutest glass mug that I am obsessed with!
