I have suffered from ingrown hairs since the day I started shaving back in middle school. I thought my hair follicles were cursed. Why me? I had to start coming up with an elaborate shaving schedule because I couldn’t bear to shave any part of my body more than once a week. I missed out on beach days because sometimes the schedule just didn’t line up. When my hair would grow back out, it would burn and itch like something was wrong. I could feel the follicles struggling to break through the skin.
When I entered high school I decided I could no longer put up with this insanity and I started getting laser hair removal on my underarms and bikini. This was life changing. My hair started growing back lighter and thinner, and now it was taking closer to a week to grow back rather than what felt like a few hours. Unfortunately, because my hair is so thick and fast growing, the recommended 5-7 treatments being all you need did not apply to me. The hair started coming back. Granted it is still nowhere near how it used to be, but it is still incredibly annoying given all the money I spent on the treatments.
Now that I am back at school away from my laser place, I started to notice the last treatment wearing off. The fucking worst. Back to shaving everyday, the dreaded itch started to return and I panicked. The only thing left to try was changing up the razor I use. After doing some research, I settled with the Billie Razor. Let me tell you that you need to stop what you’re doing right now and purchase a subscription to Billie. First of all, I have never seen a razor come with such cute packaging which of course was enough to make me hit purchase. And the razor itself is adorable and clearly looks nicer than your average drug store razor.

Now onto the important shit: The review. This is by far the best razor I have ever used. It gave me such a clean shave and left my skin feeling soft as ever. The razor has that built in soapy piece that makes the razor seamlessly glide over your skin. It also has five blades which really helps collect more hair at once. I immediately noticed it took far fewer passes over my legs to get the job done than my last razor. After using the razor four times now, I have yet to get an ingrown so I am happy.
Final thoughts: I think this product is such an affordable investment. You will never be left in the lurch having to use a dull blade last minute. I can’t even explain how many times i’ve been stuck using a rusty blade because I failed to notice how long I’d been using a blade for. So if you find yourself with any sort of hair or shaving related issues, Billie might be your perfect solution.
