Must Watch Netflix Docuseries

written by NOA DIAMOND. September 20th, 2020

I recently discovered the docuseries genre on Netflix and was blown away by how many intriguing options there were. It was hard for me to choose where to begin, so I have compiled a list of my favorites so far for you.

Dark Tourist

Dark Tourist follows a man as he travels to some of the most dangerous places in the world to learn about the phenomenon of “dark tourism.” With a new destination each episode, the viewer gets a real glimpse of what it might be like to visit these historically tragic destinations.

Don’t Fuck with Cats

If you want to watch a show that will take you down one of the most bizarre, interesting, and captivating stories ever, I highly recommend watching this. Even if you aren’t an animal lover I promise you will enjoy it.

Unwell

Unwell tries to debunk crazy wellness claims while also offering the perspective of those who are full supporters of the fads. While it is far from data driven and leads to many questions about the claims, this six part series left me wanting more.

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

Everyone needs to know the truth about this man and what he put dozens of young women through. This is a history lesson for us all and I think it’s a mandatory watch.

Trials of Gabriel Fernandez

This is not one for those with weak stomachs. This six-part true crime series was incredibly hard to watch. If you are able to make it through (while taking many breaks), you will be left with the sad question of how could the events of this docuseries have actually happened.

The Mind Explained

This docuseries was so engaging, easy to watch, and informative. Narrated by Emma Stone, each episode dives into a new topic about the brain. From dreams to psychedelics, you’re going to learn a lot and enjoy every minute.

What’s next on my watch list?

  • Ugly Delicious
  • Meat Eater
  • The Business of Drugs
  • I am a Killer
