Reality TV Shows To Watch

On Netflix:

Selling Sunset

This reality TV show is my absolute obsession at the moment. The show essentially follows a team of beautiful, amazonian women while they sell luxury houses in Los Angeles for the Oppenheim Real Estate Group. Although there is random cast drama woven throughout the episodes, I honestly just tune in to see the incredible multi-million dollar homes.

Queer Eye

This show is the best if you’re just in the mood for good vibes. It’s a team of five gay guys who come together to give a new person on a each episode a makeover. They redo their guests style, hair, house and teach them about cooking and culture. The stories always have such feel good themes and the members of the makeover team are hilarious and fun to watch.

Get Organized with the Home Edit

I was introduced to this show by my roommate and we’ve binged every episode since. The Home Edit team comes into peoples houses and organizes an entire room for them. Each episode focuses on one celebrity and one normal person. Some guests have been Reese Witherpoon, Rachel Zoe and Khloe Kardashian. If you are OCD, this is the show for you.

Million Dollar Beach House

I haven’t seen this one yet, but have heard great things. It’s apparently a Hamptons version of Selling Sunset and follows Real Estate brokers in New York selling high-end beach houses in the Hamptons. It includes a bit more competition as brokers have to vie for the highest listings which makes it a bit of a more thrilling alternative.

On Hulu:

World of Dance

I have watched World of Dance since season one and it is the only reality show that has brought me to tears. The dancers are incredible, their stories are beyond heartwarming, and it is so cool to see different styles of dance from around the world. I did not love the way they changed the dynamics in the most recent season… but the others are a must a watch.

Welcome to Plathville

I watched this in just a few days over quarantine. It may be the strangest reality show I’ve ever seen. It follows a family of 11 who live on a farm in the middle of nowhere in Georgia. The kids have been raised home-schooled without technology, sugar, or much knowledge of the real world. Watch them as their daughter-in-law enters their lives and shakes things up.

Love Island

If you haven’t seen Love Island by now I don’t know where you have been. With UK, AU, and now US versions all available, you will never run out of episodes to watch. My personal favorite is the UK version because obviously they are the most raunchy and their accents get me every time. Season 2 of the US version is currently releasing new episodes as the contestants quarantine together on a Vegas hotel rooftop. If you want to feel really single during this cuffing season give it a watch.
