Neutrogena Makeup Wipes

Neutrogena Wipes

We’ll keep this one short and sweet because makeup wipes, in general, are so 2018. It used to be that we had no others options but to use these wipes to take off our makeup. But if you have sensitive skin like me, each time you wiped one of the Neutrogena wipes across your face, you felt this terrible stinging sensation and knew something was wrong.

It doesn’t take much digging to find a mountain of terrible reviews on these wipes on the Neutrogena website. They have given people horrible rashes resembling that of a burn, caused allergic reactions, and overall, they leave your skin feeling raw. One reason is that the wipes contain synthetic fragrance which does not belong on your face. On top of the bad ingredients, makeup wipes physically tug at your skin. This tugging puts the aging process on a fast track to wrinkle town.

Now, this does not mean that you can trust that your everyday face wash will get all the makeup off for you.

So, we’ll give you two great options you can reach for next time you’re taking your makeup off. A personal favorite of mine is Micellar water. This is beyond gentle on your skin. If you’re interested in adding double-cleansing into your skin routine, then the other option is to use an oil-based cleanser before using your water-based cleanser. These do a good job of taking off all of your makeup too. Some of our favorites are by Biossance and Dermalogica.

In short, never buy another one of those satanic blue packets again. Please, for us?
