Ever since quarantine started, it seems almost every girl has become obsessed with wearing tie-dye. Specifically, matching tie-dye sets. I’ve recently been introduced to two really great Instagram businesses who make hand-made tie-dye pieces and sets that are cute, comfortable, and most importantly, affordable.
The first company I want to highlight is OriGINAL @shoporiginalcustoms. It’s run by one girl, Riley Buttler, who makes all of the pieces herself. Not only does she sell sweats, but she also sells tank tops, scarf tops and more. I recently purchased the red tie-dye shorts ($45) and I am so excited about them. This definitely won’t be my last purchase from her. Her items are super affordable and you just have to pay a $10 shipping fee.
Next up is OG The Brand @og_thebrand, a handmade tie-dye apparel company by Liv Epstein. I haven’t purchased anything from Liv yet, but what makes her shop different from the rest is that on top of the regular items she makes, she also she sells masks, bucket hats AND PAJAMAS as well. I know what my first purchase is going to be!!!
Last but not least is Virgo Downtown @virgodowntown/@virgooriginals. Virgo is a downtown LA store with a huge Instagram presence. They make one-of-kind tie-dye pieces that sell out within minutes every time stuff drops. They even had to make their own Instagram dedicated to just their tie-dye apparel (@virgooriginals). I’ve bought two matching sweat sets from them: grey ($88) and washed out ( $168) and I have been living in them during the quarantine. Virgo sets can definitely cost more than OriGINAL, but not always. They also have free shipping.
There’s something about a matching sweat set that makes you feel more put together than just throwing on a random sweatshirt with random sweatpants. Go show these Insta shops some love!
