I am a firm believer that there are no bad cooks, only people who don’t follow the recipe. If you don’t know what flavors and foods go best together, there are plenty of talented chefs out there who have already figured that out for you. But to save you some time looking for those, here are my most recent favorite recipes.
If you like sweet potatoes, then this is the ultimate recipe for you. This summer I’ve been on a huge sweet potato kick and this recipe gives your old mashed potatoes a much needed makeover. This dish is sweet, savory, creamy (just exclude the mozzarella and greek yogurt if you’re dairy free), and delicious. I make this dish all the time as a side to whatever protein I am having for dinner.
This recipe is a breakfast game changer. It’s an easy way to elevate your everyday go-to pancakes. Start by making your pancake batter according to the package, and just add some ricotta cheese and the juice and zest from a lemon. Once you try these there’s no going back. I promise. You can even add her super simple compote to top them off.
You know when you only have one ripe banana left and are craving something sweet? Enter these cookies. In general, Sari’s cookie recipes never disappoint. This one, however, is one of my favorites. If you love chocolate, peanut butter, and banana, then this recipe is for you. Baker’s tip: I like using chocolate chunks instead of chocolate chips so they get extra melty in the oven.
Garlicky, herby, buttery, and filled with carbs! What more do you need? If you’re looking to impress at your next dinner party (post corona of course), this is your recipe. Do not let the idea of making naan at home scare you off. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Half Baked Harvest has been one of my go to cooking blogs for months. This naan goes great with so many of her dishes so be sure to check out the Greek and Indian section of her website for some of my other favorites.
I weirdly didn’t start loving peanut m&ms until going to college. They became one of my favorite things to pick up at the cafeteria, but I don’t love how many calories they are. Then, I stumbled upon a healthier version you can make at home and I was sold. This recipe is only 5 ingredients and will completely satisfy your cravings for peanut m&ms. I promise!
